Robin Walduck leads KPMG’s international tax and treasury team of approximately 120 people throughout the U.K. and provides international tax and treasury advice to large corporations and financial institutions. He has more than 18 years of international tax experience, half of which have been in investment banking in London and Hong Kong. Walduck also has considerable international structured transaction experience, having worked in the front and back offices of investment banks. His recent projects have included global legal entity rationalizations, global group restructuring projects, international inversion projects, intra-group cross-border financing transactions and the set-up of international and regional holding companies and regional treasury operations. He regularly leads the structuring of multi-jurisdictional M&A projects for U.K. and overseas clients. Walduck leads the U.K. firm’s efforts in relation to the inbound investment market from a tax point of view, assisting clients who wish to expand their operations in the U.K., whether by way of new operations, international holding/financing companies, using the U.K. as an innovation center or inverting into the U.K. He has a regular dialogue in respect of this activity with both HM Revenue & Customs and HM Treasury. Walduck is also one of the members of KPMG’s Global Base Erosion and Profit Shifting Steering group.
