Damien McLoughlin, Ph.D., is Anthony C. Cunningham Professor of Marketing and associate dean at University College Dublin (UCD) Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in Ireland. He previously served on the faculty of Johnson School at Cornell University, the Indian School of Business, Stern School at New York University and Harvard Business School. McLoughlin has published more than seventy papers and a book on strategy and marketing issues. He has also written more than twenty case studies, mainly relating to leadership and strategy issues in the food and agribusiness sector. He has consulted and led executive programs in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, while working with a number of the world’s leading organizations including Alltech, Allianz, Bord Bia (The Irish Food Board), Charoen Pokphand Group (CP), Eversheds, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Independent News & Media, Microsoft, Ridley, Ryanair and Smurfit Kappa Group. He is also an experienced board member, having served a number of public and private sector organizations as a director and consultant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Dublin City University, a master’s degree in business studies from University College Dublin and a Ph.D. in marketing from Lancaster University (U.K.).
