Chris Stott of KPMG has been advising clients on their M&A strategy for nearly 20 years in North America, mainland Europe and the United Kingdom. His clients range from large global organizations to U.K. private equity and private investors across a range of different sizes of transactions. He also leads KPMG’s food and drink team in the U.K. and is an active member of KPMG’s Global Agri team. His food and drink clients include ABF, Princes, Hain Celestial, Muller, Arla, Vion, Bayer and a range of smaller agricultural operations. His team also works closely with Animalcare, Genius, Anpario, Carr’s Milling , Aviagen, Openfield and Cargill. Stott recently chaired a U.K. government lead initiative looking at the competitiveness of the U.K. food supply chain, particularly in terms of talent, land use and innovation. He has also assisted a number of organizations to develop M&A as an execution tool for delivery of the business strategy, working specifically to tailor best practice to the specific culture and character of the organization. Stott is a regular speaker on topics associated with the food supply chain and has contributed several articles to trade press.
